I was fortunate to grow up in a large woods on the shores of a peaceful, inland lake. The hills and fields surrounding it were my tramping grounds. From the first I was in love with the natural world around me. In summer I was wrapped in deep green foliage; in fall with the brilliant colors of oak, hickory and maple. The winter moonrise beamed across the frozen lake. Spring was steeped with every kind of wild flower and emerging leaf.
When I first picked up a camera as a child, the view was magic to me. I wanted to capture all that natural beauty, light and intricate detail that surrounded me. I still feel that today as I expand my world to other environs and new ways to share what I see. I want to bring that love of light and lens to my photo art.
